U15+ Fastball Pathway Update for the 2026 Season

As we finalize plans for the upcoming fastball season, we want to share an important update regarding team availability for athletes at the U15 level and above.

After careful consideration of athlete numbers, coaching capacity, and our responsibility to provide the right developmental environment, Strathmore Thunder will not be fielding a second U15 team this season, nor will we be offering teams at age groups above U15.

This was not an easy decision. It was made thoughtfully, with the best interests of the athletes at the center. Our priority is always to ensure that players are placed in environments where they can receive the level of coaching, competition, and support that will allow them to continue growing and enjoying the game.

To that end, we are very grateful that Chestermere has invited Strathmore athletes to participate in their upcoming evaluations. We see this as the most natural and supportive option for families who wish to continue playing “locally,” while ensuring athletes have access to strong programming, appropriate competition levels, and a positive team experience.

 

As such, below is all of the information from Chestermere if you should decide to go in that direction:

 - Costs: U15 = $475 | U17 & U19 = $500
